It takes approximately one hour to get to Vale do Guizo by motorway. Our typical Portuguese villa is situated on the western part of the Algarve in an area covered by the Southwest Alentejo Natural Park and the Costa Vicentina, which has remained untouched by mass tourism and crowded built-up areas.
The houses are close to our villa so if you require any assistance we are more than ready to help; just knock on our door!
Close to the house you can start off on your long walks. Nature is on our doorstep. A stone’s throw away you will find beautiful beaches, amazing dunes and a still untouched coast where you can admire its bizarrely shaped rocks.
The beaches summon you to bathe but also to discover. The nearest one is 7 km from our villa and has been elected by a journal one of the 20 most beautiful beaches of the Algarve. There are restaurants and cafés in some of the beaches where you can enjoy both the delicacies of the region as well as a stunning sea view.
!2 km away are the surfers’ beaches such as, “Amoreira” and “Arrifana”, as well as Odeceixe beach which was voted one of the 7 Wonderful Beaches of Portugal. We can tell you where to find the surf schools, where to rent mountain bicycles and where you can carry out other activities, such as mountain climbing and donkey and horse rides. We have masseurs who will come to you and if you want to do something artistic, just ask us as we can help you out.
The town of Aljezur is approximately 6 km away, with its characteristic castle, situated on the top of the hill. There are several commercial activities and the typical fruit, vegetable and fresh fish market, as well as the post office, banks, pharmacy, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants.
For those who prefer a bit more action, you can go to the southern coast, which is only 30 minutes from us. There you can enjoy Lagos’s night life, its shopping and its water parks.
Basic medical aid is secured by the Aljezur Health Centre, a private clinic and a German doctor. There is a modern private clinic only 30 minutes from us.
